The first doses of COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Linn County on December 15, 2020. This began the first phase, or Phase 1A, of vaccine distribution in our community. Because the supply of vaccine is very limited, a phased approach is being used to offer vaccine to populations most at risk. Populations to receive vaccine in the first phase were healthcare workers and residents and staff of long-term care facilities.
