Due to the number of positive COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations across the country and locally, Linn County has closed most buildings to the public to help reduce community spread of the virus and to help ensure continuity of County services.
Power seeks to promote girls' resiliency and encourage the development of strength, courage, confidence, honesty and communication skills for girls.
Program Description (In)
Power works to enhance girls' abilities so they are able to take full advantage of their talents, academic interests, career pursuits and potential for healthy relationships. (In)Power is a female youth specific program for moderate to high risk girls in Linn County. Referrals to the group are made by Juvenile Court.
(In)Power facilitators work to focus on meeting the needs of girls and holding an underlying respect for and belief in the rights to equality, dignity and opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, gender or age.
