The Air Quality Division of the Linn County Public Health is authorized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to implement and enforce the mandate of the Clean Air Act and the Air Quality section of the Linn County Code of Ordinances. It is this divisions objective to achieve and maintain such levels of air quality as will protect human health and safety, and to the greatest degree practicable, prevent injury to plant and animal life and property, foster the comfort and convenience of the people, promote social development of Linn County and facilitate the enjoyment of the natural attractions of Linn County Iowa.
