Due to the number of positive COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations across the country and locally, Linn County has closed most buildings to the public to help reduce community spread of the virus and to help ensure continuity of County services.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) are voluntary accounts that allow you to set aside pre-tax money for certain health and dependent care expenses. These are two separate accounts with two separate purposes, and therefore the monies in one account can’t be used to satisfy expenses in the other.
As a Linn County employee, you can choose to participate in none, one, or both of these accounts depending on your needs. Prime Benefits is the claims administrator for the FSAs. For a complete list of eligible expenses, visit www.IRS.gov and review Publication 502.
