Due to the number of positive COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations across the country and locally, Linn County has closed most buildings to the public to help reduce community spread of the virus and to help ensure continuity of County services.
The Linn County Child Development Center offers full and half day early childhood programs for children ages 3 to 5. The center also offers child development services to families with low incomes and to children with special needs, so parents can hold employment or participate in college or job training.
Highly qualified staff (PDF): All lead teachers have Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, with endorsements in Special Education. All assistant teachers have AA or CDA. Low staff turnover allows children to be cared for by a consistent group of teachers.
NAECY Accreditation: Linn County Child Development Center was one of first centers in the state accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and has been so since 1990.
