If a person is arrested prior to 5 a.m., court is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Anyone can view the court proceedings at the courthouse (50 3rd Avenue Bridge, Cedar Rapids, IA) Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and in the lobby of the jail on weekends and holidays only. To know an inmate's future court dates, you will need to contact the clerk of court (319-398-3411).
An inmate's bond can be posted at the Clerk of Court during normal business hours or through a bail bondsman. If Clerk of Court is closed, CASH only bond can be brought to the Jail lobby window. For Arraignment Bond it must be posted at the Jail (lobby window at the jail is closed daily from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.).
